Right Care at the Right Time

Santa Rosa County uses new program to address emergencies more efficiently.
Lifeguard Ambulance is the first emergency service in Northwest Florida to utilize the Emergency Triage, Treat and Transport (ET3) program to address emergencies of all kinds more efficiently.
ET3 Delivers the Right Care at the Right Time
ET3 is an innovative, five-year program aimed at providing greater flexibility for ambulance care teams to address emergency healthcare needs following a 911 call. Developed by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), the goal of ET3 is aimed at reducing overcrowding in hospital emergency departments, driving down Medicare and Medicaid costs, and increasing healthcare options for Medicare Fee for Service (FFS) beneficiaries.
Paramedics and EMTs assess patients on-site and determine if the patient should be treated in place or transported to an emergency room.
